Hi Mike. Thanks for the weather updates. We are always wondering when the pipes might be freezing. Maybe next time we are up, we can get together. We love the picture of the snow on the tree, it is magical. Nick and Susan

Hey Mike, It's your cousin again. Neat to see your West trip pictures. We were in Kansas City last June. We went to Cabela's. It's a neat place. Eddie was in K.C. on busines, so we had to fly. I joined him there on our anniversary, 06/16. We enjoyed Cabela's and the Plaza in K.C. We also made a day trip on back roads to Topeka, Kansas. The countryside was beautiful, although there wasn't much to see in Topeka. I had done work for the V.A. there remotely a few year ago, and wanted to see the hospital. We hope to get out West again soon. This time drive! Love, Vicki

Hi Mike, just wanted to say I enjoyed your website. The Land that you have your cabin on was at one time my great-great grandfathers. I know many of the stories that occurred there in years past. Well keep up the good work and I look forward to your updates.

Mike, I think I'm in love!! You are actually living the "picture-perfect" life I have always dreamed could exist.I am totally in awe of the lifestyle I've just witnessed. I have only dreamed of the things you have shared. Just the fact that they really do exist is like finding out "Yes, Virgina, there really is a Santa Clause!"! Thank you very much for allowing me to have your website address and for thinking I would enjoy it. I can't begin to tell you how much I did. If your offer still stands, I would love to drive up and see your world. I particularly loved "Nowhere". I have longed for that place since I can remember. Apparently, you are one of the rare few who know how to apprectiate that special place. Thank you for not even considering the offers to sale. I wouldn't either. Money has no place or bearing on something so wonderful. You are truly blessed. Your "babies" Timber and Sugar are goregeous! I'm sure they are great companions as well. I will close for now. It's my one off-day and I need to get home to do some work. I look forward to seeing you again and to re-visiting your site. My number is in the phone book. Or you know my work number. Say hi to Kenny and to keep it "between" the ditches!!HaHa! s

Hi there, We are in the process of closing on one of the lots in the ranch and did a general search for Cold Springs Ranch and your site came up, I think it is Wonderful and I can't wait to meet some of people there and make new friends and neighbors. This will be a vacation home for us not a full time resident, but we are very excited about the Ranch. Hope to meet you and your beautiful dogs. Thanks so much for the website and keeping the non-full timers up to date on the happenings of the Ranch.

Hey Mike, What a great website! I lived in Balsam for a year ( about 600 feet north of Balsam Mtn. Inn), then Waynesville for a year, and then in Sylva for about 3 years. I worked at Mast General Store when I lived in Waynesville. My children were born there and, honestly, I would like to spend the rest of my life there. Hopefully, I will be back in a couple of years. Thanks for all the great imagery that you have provided; both visually and mentally. My girls are in love with your dogs. Thanks again for the great site! Sincerely, Art Bowman

Hi Mike--love your site---you are living my dream! My mother's people (Deaver, Miller and Kuykendall) have all brought me back here. What that means is that after many years of family history research, I stumbled across two historians who have asked me to write a book on a Revolutionary War General from NC. I'm selling my house in S.C. and looking for a place in Haywood County. Is there land for sale where you are? Email me back if you would. nadiawon@nadia.net. Have a look at my website if you want. http://www.nadia.net see ya

I just wanted to thank you for sharing these pictures with everyone on the internet. Its such an intimate glimpse around your life to do such a thing. Its nice to see someone who stops and takes in snapshots of lifes beautiful gifts that literally crop up on the sides of mountains. Its a fantastic way of enjoying the same beauty that you do, without thousands of visiting feet wearing paths and building parking lots over your mountain laurel. Take care of yourself and that beautiful mountain. Thank you again. :)

Hey Mike! It's one of your favorite cousins! Ha! Ha! I go to your weather page almost daily. It's neat to see the weather contrast from there to here. Makes me long for my beloved mountains. Eventhough I can see a small mountain just to my North it's just a molehill compared to our home mountains. I enjoy seeing your pictures and the pups! Hope to see you on December 20. P.S. I am telecommuting again myself. Vicki

Mike Howdy, I'm a good friend of Bill Fieldings, your neighbor from Florida(by way of NJ)Anyway, lovely pictures of your place. My wife & I are contemplating moving to NC (daughter live in Charlotte) not real soon but would like to buy a small piece of property in the Asheville area. If you ever see anything that's a good deal, please let me know. I don't want alot of land, small and nice, with utilities access, not too far in the woods, would like some civilization around. Keep me in mind. Thanks Dave Phone: 732-335-2578 email: david.bronson@iff.com

We have followed the raising of the old barn, the construction of your log cabin, and continue to enjoy your updated photogaphs. We are regular visitors to your excellent weather station as we hike the A.T. occasionally from I-40 to Hot Springs and rely on your temperature and precipitation data. We love that area and it is obvious you do also. Thank you!
